Forest Mosaics

Hiking about the forests surrounding my home, I find inspiration for the majority of my art. I share that beauty with you in this ongoing series.

Travels

Lovely images of places I've been inspired these pieces.

Garden Creatures

While working as the "Garden Lady" at Ithaca's Children's Garden, I found these creatures visiting the garden regularly. Each measures between 11" and 15" per side.

Standing Tall!

Both these sunflowers towered over the garden one summer. They stood tall and watched as children played, insects buzzed and creatures crawled about.

Sanibel heron

While visiting Sanibel Island, FL in January 2022, I was fortunate to observe this majestic heron walk the beach and eventually fly off. I capture that memory in this triptych completed in 2023.

Reflections - NYC

On a recent trip to NYC, I challenged myself to find the beauty in the crowded streets, chaos and clutter that makes NYC the incredible city it is.  I was reminded of trees in a breeze or the gentle ripples generated by wind moving across water as I looked up at the glass fronts of the tall buildings.  We think of window glass as flat but it is not and that reality creates the basis for this series.
